Sam and Peter Arnold - father and son 2000
Sam (Julius) Arnold started trading as Supreme Wire Fence & Gate (Aust) Pty Ltd in 1950. A well-established part of the Coburg community, Supreme Fencing continued to grow and expand both in the size of the company and their expertise in fencing.
In 1985 the business was taken over by Sam’s son Peter Arnold. Over the following 36 years, Peter grew the business to one which now services much of the northern and western regions of Melbourne. Peter has also been a key player in establishing the Australian Standards for chain link fencing.
With over 50 years’ experience in the fencing industry, Peter has decided with a heavy heart that it is now the time to retire. He leaves behind a great legacy of a very successful and respected family business to take more time with his family and to pursue his love of cars.

Peter has now handed over the reins of Supreme Fencing to relative newcomer to the fencing industry, Andrew Caddy. Over the past 20 years, Andrew has worked for some of the most successful fencing businesses in Melbourne before taking on the General Manager’s role at Melbourne Chain Wire Fencing.
Supreme Fencing has moved to Heidelberg West and is co-located with its sister company Melbourne Chain Wire Fencing, both proudly part of the ProWire Fencing Group Pty Ltd.
We look forward to honouring the Arnold family’s incredible 71 year legacy and will continuing to service the fencing needs of the north west.
